The Harvest Series
Here at Cursed Cauldron, we are dedicated to reducing our waste as much as possible. This includes small things like using precise measurements in our recipes or reusing packaging that would otherwise be thrown out by other businesses. We, however, were not satisfied with doing just the basics. During our most recent assessment of our processing, we took note of how much waste was created from the brewing process of Autumn’s Avarice Hot Sauce. Autumn’s Avarice Hot Sauce uses fresh Fuji apples in its creation. In that process, we remove a lot of unusable material like the skin and cores. So, the Spice Sorcerers put their heads together to figure out what we could make with this. After many sleepless nights of counting slimes we had, at last, an idea: The Harvest Series.
The Harvest Series is our answer to our organic waste. We feed locally domesticated slimes (world’s greatest recycling machines, don’t ya know) the leftover material and add some additional herbs, to balance their diet. Once stuffed the slimes were humanely processed and strained, from there we let the cauldron do its thing. The result? Something new and delicious!
We fed the slimes the apple trimmings and additional herbs from far Eastern Isles. Once the slimes have matured they are harvested, boiled, and strained into our first entry to the series: Apple Grass Syrup. This light but sweet syrup makes a wonderful addition to any breakfast table. While we’re brewing potions and slinging spells, the sorcerers at Cursed Cauldron are always keeping an eye out for ways we can add more recipes to this series. So be on the lookout, while our first entry was a syrup who knows what we will think of next?
